Parts
and tools:
1 Blue
LED, i
used 5mm
3.7volt
1 s controller
1 flat
head screw
driver,
the really
tiny ones
are the
best
1 drill
1 file/knife
1 hot
glue gun
and glue
Instructions:
1. Take
the screw
driver
and keep
prying
up along
the sides
carefully
as to
not leave
marks
on the
plastic
surrounding.
2. Once
the logo
is pryed
off remove
the clear
sticky
layer
and the
plain
white
layer
also.
3. Drill
a hole
where
the logo
was prior
to removal.
File the
hole down
till you
hardly
have any
edge left.
4. Place
the xbox
logo back
where
it was.
Hold in
place
and then
shoot
hot glue
over it
on the
back side.
Hold in
place
and try
not to
move it
too much
so the
glue has
a smooth
texture.
Don't
touch
the glue.
5. Solder
LED onto
pre-existing
solder
points
on the
controller
board.
See picture.
The solder
points
are the
two farthest
points
from each
other.
Be careful
when soldering
the led
make sure
the diode's
direction
is going
the right
way. You
can test
this by
plugging
it into
xbox and
powering
up and
see if
it lights
up.
6. Adjust
the led
in place
till it
looks
right
with cover
over.
Nobody
wants
a crooked
led light
on their
controller.
I mounted
mine horizontially.
