Things you will need.

Resistor
LED any color of choice (I chose green to match the color scheme on the Xbox)
Some wire and solder
A drill

First open your Xbox. Remove the connector from the little USB connector board and use a knife to lift up the plastic and remove the yellow wire. This will provide the +5 volts. You can also use the connector on the hard drive or the power cable that goes to the motherboard to provide the +5 also.

After you have removed the yellow wire solder a new piece of wire on the yellow wire that is long enough to reach where you are going to install your light

After you solder your wire to the yellow wire press it back into the white connector block and then plug it back into the USB connector board. If you use too much solder you might have to cut the white block a little for it to fit. Next solder another wire to the D0 point on the chameleon.

Pull the two wires through one of the holes on the side of the Xbox. Make sure your wires will not get in the way when you place the cover back on. Next solder the extra wire you installed on the D0 point of the chameleon to the negative side of the LED (the shorter leg of the LED will be the negative or if you look inside the LED the piece of metal that is bigger inside the LED is the negative). Then solder the resistor to the positive side of the LED. Make sure that the color band on the resistor is closest to the LED. Then solder the wire that came from the yellow controller wire to the other end of the resistor.

Now drill a hole were you want your LED to show and use a little glue to hold it in place. I would suggest testing your LED before you glue it in and also make sure that it will not be in the way of the cover when you place it back on.

Put your Xbox back together and congratulations you are done. Now you can tell when the mod chip is on so you will not get banned from Live.
