If
you installed
EvolutionX
on you
Xbox harddrive
and you
made an
error
in the
evox.ini
on your
harddrive
it's possible
the Xbox
won't
be able
to boot
again.(or
if you
deleted
the bootfile(s))
It's possible
thought
, to boot
your Xbox
with the
EvolutionX
disc.
Once EvolutionX
is booted
you can
access
the Xbox
harddrive
by FTP
and you
can reupload
a new
working
evox.ini
or bootfile.
Here
is what
you have
to do
:
1/
Extract
the
EvoX
iso
with
an Xbox
ISO
extractor
(for
example
: xISO)
on your
PC harddrive.(tutorial)
2/
Correctly
fill
in network
settings
in evox.ini
(the
one
that
was
packed
in the
original
EvoX
release)
for
your
personal
network.
3/
Rebuild
the
ISO
(with
file
extracted
in step1
and
menu.ini
from
step2)
with
an Xbox
ISO
maker
(tutorial).
4/
Burn
the
ISO
on CD-RW/DVD-R/DVD-RW.
5/
Boot
the
Xbox
with
the
disc
you
just
burned
above
in the
drive.
If for
some
reason
the
xbox
starts
rebooting,
turn
it off
with
the
disc
still
inside
then
turn
the
xbox
back
on.
6/
EvoX
is now
booted
, so
you
can
access
the
Xbox
harddrive
with
FTP
and
re-upload
a working
evox.ini
or bootfile
(evoxdash.xbe
for
default
new
hacked
bioses).
