If
you don't
live near
a female
who will
let your
borrow
her hairdryer,
or your
parents
don't
let you
play with
the stove,
but you
do have
some adhesive
remover
because
your roommate
is a knucklehead
and likes
to miss
the trash
with his
gum, here's
an easy
trick
to get
your jewel
off.
Items:
* Goo
Gone
* Small
Flathead
Screwdriver
****
This can
be done
without
opening
the XBox!
****
1) Apply
a liberal
amount
of Goo
Gone to
the recessed
jewel
area,
being
careful
not to
spill
it over
and so
the jewel
is almost
submerged
in Goo
Gone.
Wait 3
mins.
2) Gently
squeek
the screwdriver
down next
to the
jewel
and try
to minimally
lift up
the jewel
to allow
some Goo
Gone to
drip under.
Leave
screwdriver
in place
and wait
a few
more mins.
3) Continue
around
the jewel
(left
or right,
your choice,
go crazy)
about
75 degrees
and repeat
step 2.
** The
longer
you wait,
the more
adhesive
you will
undo,
but do
not attempt
to "flip"
the jewel
by popping
it up
too fast,
it will
not hesitate
to crack.
** Just
be patient
and allow
the Goo
Gone to
do it's
work.
Sadly,
the only
drawback
is that
your XBox
is now
a tad
greasy
from the
Goo Gone
(oil based),
I had
to grab
a few
Clorox
Wipes
and wipe
it down
a few
times
to get
the oil
off.
Now you're
ready
to follow
another
Tutorial!
