WARNING
What ever is done to YOUR xbox is YOUR responsibility. I am sharing what worked with me and you can use this information to assist you in your installation. I take no responsibility if anything should go wrong. Remember, this is just a suggestion, I'm not forcing you to do this.

What you'll need:

-(1) Rectangle Razor Blade
-(2) Small Saftey Pins
-Your favorite brand of household Aluminum Foil

I will assume you have already taken your xbox apart to attach the X2L[+] and have all the nessecary tools to carry out installation of the chip.

1. Use the razor blade to VERY GENTLY scrape the d0 point on the inside of the hole to remove any sort of protective coating on the metal. I put the tip of the razor in the hole and twisted in a circular motion varying the angle of the blade. (or, for those who like the fiberglass pen and would prefer to use that instead, be my guest) Remember to BE GENTLE as to NOT cut away all of the metal in the d0 point.

2. For good measure, scrape the d0 pogo on the X2L[+] until you feel it is free of any coatings.

3. Tear off a piece of Aluminum Foil. Now cut a very small piece, about 1mm by 1mm (it should be about as big if not SLIGHTLY bigger than the d0 point its self.

4. Now take the two saftey pins and un-do them. Then pull the pointed end back so the saftey pin is straight (you may want to use some pliars so you don't poke your finger on accident).

5. Put one saftey pin in both hands and with your native writing hand, poke the little piece of aluminum foil you cut to pick it up. Put it inside the d0 point while using the other saftey pin to keep the foil from sticking to the other saftey pin. Gently use the saftey pins to work the foil into the d0 point so it is snug and not touching any other points or traces. You should have some foil sticking up above the d0 point. (the foil will look like a small piece of glass when its sitting snug in the d0 point)

6. Now take your X2L[+] and align it with the d0 pogo directly over the d0 point now with foil in it, press and hold it on top (while the other pins are aligned as well). You do not want to move the chip around when the d0 pogo is touching the foil because it may come free from the d0 point and you have to start all over.

7. With the pogos all in place and the foil still in the d0 point and not touching any other point, screw the chip into place with the supplied washer and screw then DISABLE the modchip and power the xbox on, you should see a green light!
