Installing the Xecuter Blaster360 is pretty easy and requires no soldering. The only tools you'll need are the ones to open your Xbox360 case.

So start by doing that ... open your Xbox360. There's no need to remove the motherboard completely ... just open the case and remove the DVD drive. It should look like this then:

Blaster 360

Now take the Power Control Unit (PCU) and connect cables like shown below with the 2 cables (2x8pin cable and green/white DVD-power/eject cable) provided in your Blaster360 package.

Remove the foil on the back of the PCU and paste it on top of the video-connector and connect the DVD power/eject cable from the Xbox360 motherboard with the last empty connector on the PCU like shown below:

Remove the foil on the back of the Multiplex Switching Unit (MSU) and paste it like shown below. See 2nd image on how it should look from the back.
Connect the other end of the 2x8 cable with the Blaster360 Multiplex Switching Unit (MSU). It's VERY IMPORTANT to connect the cable the right way here.
The pre-production sample we received didn't stop us to connect the cable up-side-down (which will blow-up your Xbox360) - but Team Xecuter told us the final retail version will have a filled pin in the connector to stop you from connecting it the wrong way. Anyway ...look at the 1st image below (click for high-res), the row with 1 wire missing must be on top

Now remove the stock SATA cable in your Xbox360 and use the one that came with your Blaster360 package with a normal SATA connector from one side and a "90-degrees-angle connector" on the other side. Connect the "90-dengrees-angle connector" on your Xbox 360 motherboard and the other side of the cable to the "360" labeled connector of your Multiplex Switching Unit (MSU).

Now connect the 2nd SATA cable that came with your Blaster360 (the one with 2 normal SATA connectors) to the "ODD" labeled connector of the Multiplex Switching Unit (MSU). Connect the other end of the cable to your Xbox360 DVD-ROM drive.

Connect the DVD power/eject cable coming from the Power Control Unit (PCU) (the one with a green&white connector) to your Xbox360 DVD-ROM drive.

Blaster360

Place your Xbox360 DVD-ROM drive back in the case

Blaster360

Close your Xbox360 case again, except the plastic grill on the side of the HDD/Blaster360. You'll notice that the pins on the back of the external Blaster360 unit will fit right into the connectors on the back of the Multiplex Switching Unit (MSU).

Blaster360

Plug 'em in ;)

Blaster360

Now just click-in the external Blaster 360 unit ...

Blaster360

Plug your HDD back in if you have one ...

Blaster360

DONE!
