X-ecuter 1.1
>> The guys over at worldxbox released a picture of the X-ecuter1.1
It's no real big change , just an updated pcb design that should make it easier to install. (easier to 'check' the connections & removes the need for a very fine tip)
They also released a nice pdf tutorial that explains you how to install the X-ecuter 1.1 , you can download it from their frontpage

New Xbox Confirmed

different things: re done mainboard, no fan on the nvidia video chip, small chip missing behind the onboard bios.
different connection for the control leads inside.small board is now missing that the control leads plugged into.NEW DVD ROM USED PHILLIPS BRAND, not as loud as the Thompson but still whats the point without a mod chip.
all mod chips I tried wont work. I will put some pics here tomorrow.with the new bios number as well ! !
If you fit the evox mod chip the machine wont power up, it's just keeps flashing, on/off no screen, no nothing.
Hope this is'nt a major setback in the mod chip world.

PAL users playing Sega GT2002

Other games don't have this symptoms , but for some reason if u try to play the NTSC version of SegaGT 2002 on a PAL xbox the game is slow & you have strange line-effects on the border of the road & cars.
One simple solution , get the Enigmah Video Mode CD (1 or 2) and change the output of your PAL xbox to NTSC ... and njoy the full quality of this game! (you need a TV compatible with NTSC tho , but most(all?) new TVs are)
note: no , I can't place a link to the Enigmah Video Mode CD ... it's build with MS SDK.
update:: several people mailed me that it also works fine on a PAL xbox if you select PAL60.

The HH owner told us the X-ecuter modchips have been shipped later then expected due low stock. (due high demand 'cause of the low price)
HackersHardware promised us they will fix all current issues asap.

 The Full OpenXbox package you get from lik-sang , there's also a CD that I forgot to include on the picture (it includes the same stuff as you can find on this webpage)  Wire 9&10 are pre-solder for you , other 8 wires work with a "clip" on the OpenXbox
We will try out the modchip , but we do not expect any problems as it will prolly work like the older german build of OpenXbox , tested some time ago.

InvaderX version 3.0

Some people are having problems with screen being cut off, this is because your television does not fully support 640x480 resolution. Early reports suggest that a small hack would solve the issue but they are taking their time to make sure its 100%.
