More IGN previews :
>> WWF Raw
Speaking of cut, there's going to be a heavy flow of blood. With all manner of ways to destroy your opponent readily available, you can smash them in the ring, out of the ring, and even backstage. Even cooler is that the backstage areas will be randomly generated from a set of 10 different environments, ranging anywhere from boiler rooms and parking lots, to the entrance ramp and waiting room venues. And for those of you who are curious about what kind of specialty matches are in store for the final, the unfinalized list includes cage matches, Survivor Series, and Royal Rumbles. WWF fans... rejoice!
If the folks at Anchor can keep the same effort of excellence they gave to UFC, and the animation and character models can continue their juicy path of digital goodness, then Xbox gamers the world over are in for a real treat come this fall. Full Preview

GUNVALKYRIE
Sega is being a bit squirrely as to exactly when GUNVALKYRIE is going to hit the Xbox, but when we spoke with Smilebit at E3, they hinted that online play (or at the very least, online elements) were being considered for the title, so a Q1 2002 release is looking more and more likely. WE expect to hear more in the coming months, so be sure to check back for an update. More importantly, though, check your line of site...there?s bugs on the horizon! Full Preview

IGN previews
>> Some interesting previews @IGN :
NFL 2K2
Even with all of the new and improved features, it would be even better to see how NFL 2K2 makes use of the Xbox's groundbreaking capabilities. While ripping your own music into the game may not make much sense, network play from the people who did online football first should almost be a requirement for this game. It's the kind of added bonus that could push NFL 2K2 over the top of the football game dogpile. Full Review

Hunter: The Reckoning
The game's still pretty early, so it's hard to judge how this is all going to come together in terms of a game experience. So far at least, the foundation is securely in place, and the license choice is perfect for this type of game. Hunter is due on March 15, 2002, so the developer High-Voltage has plenty of time to tweak to its heart's content before the release. Full Review

BloodRayne
With plenty of other third person action adventure games out for the Xbox, BloodRayne will need all of the sex appeal and charm she can muster to differentiate this game from Blood Omen 2, New Legends and Genma Onimusha. All of those titles will be out by the time BloodRayne hits in Fall of 2002. But with Terminal Reality's new Infernal Engine and their experience in games like Nocturne, Agent BloodRayne is in good hands. Full Review

P5 Glove Ready
>> Essential Reality announced today that it would reveal the final product design of the P5 glove peripheral at CES. CES attendees will be able to experience the P5 for themselves. Using only discrete movements of the fingers and hand, they will achieve full-motion control of images, computer 3D graphics and on-screen characters as well as interactive game action.
"A substantial number of developers have applied for the P5 Software Development Kit which will allow developers who incorporate our code into their content to take advantage of the P5 for use with many of the different operating systems and game console environments - including Xbox" noted one of the big cheezes at ER.
The P5 is particularly well suited for gamers because the majority of today's games have a 3D user interface. Action games, RPGs, first-person shooters, adventure games and sports games will all be enhanced by the ability to move easily and intuitively in 3D space.
The P5 uses Essential Reality's proprietary bend sensor and tracking technologies to enable full interaction with a 3D environment. Fully USB compliant, the first generation P5(TM) is designed for compatibility with the Microsoft Windows 98, Windows ME and MS 2000 operating systems. Additionally, the Company expects that the P5 will be compatible with the PlayStation2 and Microsoft Xbox game consoles
