Work In Progess: Xbox Xatrix OS
>> From http://sourceforge.net/projects/xbxatrixos/:
This project will be a public remake of several xbox applications to make a dashboard for the Microsoft Xbox that will rule all, by combining the awesome multimedia abilities of Xbox Media Player with the great menu subsystem of Avalaunch & Nexgen.
I'm happy to tell you that release isn't far off, while i'm not at school i'll be working to try and get the first version done. The first ever version will basically just be xbox media player with a code mod.
Some Xbox Fans Microsoft Didn't Aim For
>> After a 31-year-old Manhattan financial executive received Microsoft's Xbox video game system as a gift in January, he walked to a store and bought a half-dozen game titles. The video game industry would have been pleased to hear it.
After he played those games a few times against computer-controlled opponents, he got a bit bored and signed up for Microsoft's Xbox Live service, which enabled him to play against other people online. The video game industry, again, would have been pleased. For the full article..

WinXap 0.1.6
>> From the readme:
What is WinXap? This application allows you to easily add/modify menus for use with the Microsoft Dashboard. Designed for newbies, who dont want to edit manually the dashboard.
Info * Directory should contain WinXap.exe, Pixit.exe, WinXap.ini (remembers your last menu config), and the read me files for both WinXap and Pixit. * All of your dashboard xips. need to be in the same folder, as well as the xbe. (For this version, it only supports named "Xboxdash.xbe") * This application makes use of settings menu hack, so your settings area in your dashboard will be instead "Launch Menu". Backup your current Dashboard before using this in case you want to change settings at a later time. * Currently Tested on WindowsXP with Dashboard that is xboxdashdata.1012a700. Please use an unmodified set of xip files/xboxdash. (Becuase there are many dashpatches out there, and this program "may" conflict with them). * Currently only 1 level menus, no submenus this version.
Disclaimer Obviously not responsible if you fould up your dashboard. Make a backup, just in case. Follow instructions. Nuff Said.
Credits Voltaic : For obvious reasons. Pixit has changed the lives of those who attempt to dashboard hack. VulgusProfanum: This individual broke some things open in the early phases, and continues to make strides.
Work In Progress: libSDLx
>> From lantus on http://www.lantus-x.com/SDLx/:
as people may be aware , i have been working on a SDL library to the Xbox console.
current status: 85% complete with gamepad routines and yuv overlays still outstanding. Other than this the lib is fully functional and supports all SDL functions including CDDA audio, MP3 and full mouse and keyboard support.
Over the past few months compiling up SDL demos and sample apps to test my lib and i am at the point where im satisfied enough to think about releasing it out to the public in the near future.
"Your lying SDL isnt possible on the Xbox!" - Incorrect, infact if you have been keeping track - RoTT and Duke3d use SDL Mixer routines which were initially ported to enable MIDI music from those games. SarienX uses SDL for its graphics rendering and keyboard handler. Team Avalaunch also use libSDLx for their MOD/S3M/XM/IT (and soon MP3 and CDDA) routines via SDLMixer.
how will libSDLx be distibuted? Source code will be freely available (as per GPL) and pre-created libs should be available from the usual places although im still deciding this. why SDL? - quote from the SDL page "Simple DirectMedia Layer is a cross-platform multimedia library designed to provide level access to audio, keyboard, mouse, joystick, 3D hardware via OpenGL, and 2D video framebuffer. It is used by MPEG playback software, emulators, and many popular games, including the award winning Linux port of "Civilization: Call To Power"
Ultimately - to be added as part of the official SDL CVS is where i am aiming. The source is certainly clean enough for this but this will need to be discussed with the SDL authors and see what their wishes are.
Xbox invades U.S. Air Force bases
>> Xbox invades U.S. Air Force bases
Government installs the Box for airmen
The U.S. Air Force in Europe is spending US$200,000 to build 17 online Xbox centers at 14 bases across Europe, according to Stars and Stripes. The centers will allow gamers to play people at any of the bases with centers in Europe or around the world. The centers are expected to open by the end of the fiscal year. The game rooms will vary, but the one in the Azores Islands has black and lime green walls, comfy chairs, and four Xbox systems, all linked to Live. Apparently airmen will be able to play for free, though there may be a time limit on how long they can stay plugged in. There's already some talk of command-wide Xbox competitions

Boot original dash when using the xtf exploit
>> Those who tried the XTF dashboard exploit know there was no way to launch the original MS dashboard anymore.
Kraken from our forums found a way so you can boot the original dash again. The 'hack' consists of opening your xboxdash.xbe with a hex editor and change the references of X.T.F to X.F.T for example. The offsets depend on what dash version you are using. Save the edited file as msdash.xbe for example (and re-sign it if you're kernel is not patched to run unsigned code) and upload the original (non modified) font files with .xft extention. Now you can just make a link from evo-x to msdash.xbe to launch your original dash again.

Ernie and Bert Reloaded...
>> An anonymous source released a new version of the XTF dashboard exploit files. It should fix the 'clock problem' (machine fails to boot when clock is reset).
From the nfo:
This basicly means: here are 2 new ernie and bert files which are compatible to the original release. Ernie is now a little bit bigger to solve part of the clock problem. Additionally he sets the clock to the 4th of july on every boot. This will repair a dead clock for those who have a broken hack. The other half of the clock problem (that the exploit simply fails and endlessly reboots when the clock is dead (for some people) should be beaten by the fact that there was some chnage within bert and that ernie grew in size... Winxip 0.5
>> Winxip is a program to manipulate files stored in the Xbox XIP archive file.
From Voltaic on forums.xbox-scene.com:
I'm releasing WinXIP 0.5 as a "test" version. You can do a lot with it but not all functionality is present. I label this version "test" because it might not be stable/bug free. I want to get feedback from people that will use it.
I want constructive feedback, since this is a test version, I don't want bitching about how it sucks and such... if there are bugs/issues, please post them in a creative manner. I estimate that in a few weeks time, WinXIP will be fully implemented and fully functional... 'til then, we're all working on acheiving the same goal, that is to make the MS Dashboard a better dashboard. I'm hoping to have XM support in version 0.7 so don't ask about it, it won't be added before then...
On that note, I hope you guys will enjoy WinXIP... I fully intend on completing it... it's just that now that I'm back to work, development on it is a bit slower.
Complex !Loader 1.1 FX
>> !Loader is a new dashboard in development that can be used to patch your in memory kernel to use with the gamesave/xtf/sb.db exploits.
What's new/fixed:
Fed up of switching between NTSC/PAL to play imports? This version comes equipped with our smart region plug-in! Just launch a game from the menu and the loader will automatically configure your XBOX video mode for you.
Don't want to use the Free-X font hack? - Our xbe can be re-signed to work with other exploits!
Requirements: 1) XBOX Retail Dashboard 4920 2) XBOX Kernel 4034 (that means XBOX V1 only, for now). *NOTE* If you have a V1 and haven't got this kernel you can borrow a modchip or use 007/mechassault exploit to flash your XBOX with the 4034 kernel.
Issues: Disabling reset-on-eject can only be done from within a dashboard exploit, as described above. So while signing our loader to work with other exploits will work, you may not be able to disable reset-on-eject. We are well aware a lot of ppl have kernels other than 4034, be patient both the Complex and Phoenix teams are working toward bringing you support.
Notices: Support for XBOX 1.1+ coming soon! And 'Auto Patch(tm)'... for those tricky new media checks ;) Phoenix, thanks for patching our code into the XTF files, as you can see we're making good use of it! You might want to check our XTF to borrow our reset on eject hack too :)
Dreamix update
>> Dreamix updated their website:
The DX Initiative DX is about Choice. DX is about user Control. DX is about Freedom. DreamixDX serves media across your home network by a method we call DX, Digital Xchange. The DreamixDX set-top box is built specifically for your home entertainment environment, so that you may enjoy the DreamixDX experience from the comfort of your living room.
Open Architecture DreamixDX is powered by our Linux-based open source multimedia operating system, Dreamix Embedded. DE's open architecture and module system add to the software's scalability and allows for third-party developers to create add-on applications to enhance the current DreamixDX system. As applications are completed they are added to DX Center, our software library, which can be accessed through your television and navigated with remote control, or accessed through a standard PC web browser. Through the use of DX Center, users have control over the growth and feel of their system. To assist in the development of third-party applications, Dreamix provides developers with a software development kit (SDK), allowing for ease of application integration into the DreamixDX architecture.
Dreamix Competitive Edge DE's open architecture, along with the DreamixDX hardware platform creates a substantial competitive advantage over other products currently in the set-top box market. Such features that add to the DreamixDX competitive edge include: * DX Center - Enhance your DreamixDX system with add-on applications from DX Center, our software library. * DX Developer Community - By joining our developer Community, developers gain access to project management and development tools for application development. * MPEG-4 Recording - Maximize your hard disk space by recording video in MPEG-4, doubling the storage capacity of MPEG-2 products. *No Subscription Fee - Never again pay a monthly fee to obtain TV listings. Work In Progress: xSnes9x v1.05
>> From lantus on http://www.lantus-x.com/xSnes9x/:
people are probably wondering what the delay is with the new version. Theres a few reasons, ill explain: - In all honesty, xSnes9x is pretty close to as good as you will get. Theres no real reason to do monthly updates anymore, so i will only be releasing on major updates or "emergency" type fixes. - There is a new Snes9x release coming out really soon 1.40, i am holding off on any changes until that has been released and any kinks have been ironed out. Its looking good and i cant wait to bring all the new code across to the Xbox. - Burned out. I've been a little burned out and needed to take a break for a while.
The new release will have quite a few game fixes, as well as the DSP-2 chip emulation (Dungeon Master) and updated DSP-1 emulation. I believe, although im not 100% sure it will make it into the Windows release, that the APU code has been rewritten. There are also a string of bugs fixed - the changelog is quite large some of which ive mentioned before (cheat codes), some which are new. On top of this for my port, ive implemented: - LightGun support for Superscope Games and Justifier (Lethal Enforcers!). - Nintendo Mouse emulation support using USB Mice. - Added some rendering filters - Simple and AdvanceMame. - MOD/S3M/XM/IT/MP3 background music support if you didnt like SID tunes. - The ability to shortcut to roms via evox (command line parameters). - SMB support for loading roms remotely - Other things that may/may not make the final cut. Other than this - I havent messed around with the UI very much because i like the way its turned out in V1.04. I think (its been a while) i fixed some Progressive Scan problems but i will revisit it.
So stay tuned - things will ramping up again.
Oh and xSnes9x turns 1 year old soon :)
xrandom v.01
>> From the readme:
What's It Do?
It changes your Evox Skin to a random one installed.
How's it do it?
By running before Evox with some simple File manipulation. Gets random skins by reading c:\Skin and looking at directory names.
How's I install it?
Rename your evox executable (normally exoxdash.xbe) to exov.xbe and keep it in C: Rename xrandom.xbe to evoxdash.xbe (OR WHATEVER LOADS FIRST FROM YOUR BIOS).
Note: This does not change your skin randomly while running evox. It only reads the skin directory and changes the default skin at random in the evox.ini before booting. Binaries are not availible for download, but sources are availible.

Work In Progress: Xbox MediaPlayer
>> From Gamester17 on xboxmediaplayer.de:
As many XBMP users already know, new & improved features for XboxMediaPlayer are constant being developed (programmed/coded) in the spare time of official and nonofficial XBMP developers. But what most none followers of the XBMP forums do not know is exactly what features/functions is in progress, so I thought I post some links here to a few forum threads to development projects that has not yet been integrated into XBMP's CVS. This both inform the XBMP fan base on what's going on and to entice other developers to help out or possible start their own feature projects for XBMP.
Note! Only serious developers may post replies in the bellow threads. (No feature requests): "CDEX - CDripper for XBMP" (AudioCD to MP3/OGG ripper, backup CD's to Xbox harddrive). "Streaming TiVo to Xbox" (Playback from hacked TiVo over network & later remote control). "TCLxlib - TCL Xbox library" (TCL interpreter, so XBMP could use TCL scripts/plug-in's). "Web Server for XBMP" (Build-in web server and remote control interface via it for XBMP). "DSP based audio filters/effects" (Zero CPU cost audio effect filtering via the Xbox's DSP). "Pragma, sections & dynamic XBE code loading" (Pragma/sections development discussion). "Get full path of current XBE" (Small but important function to make XBMP more userfriendly). "LibDLL - Win32 DLL wrapper" (This is in the CVS and partially working but need fixing). "libdvdnav - DVD movie menu navigation" (This is in CVS & partially working, need finishing).
MAMEoX v0.71.1b
>> What's new/fixed (most notable changes): * Integrated MAME core 0.71 * Switched to a more aggressive handling of silent XBE dependencies. This change frees up almost another megabyte of RAM, which will hopefully get a couple more games working. This will undoubtedly break games that used to work until they are reported and thrown into the new families, but it gives up about a meg of RAM. To anyone who just read through that paragraph, please pardon the yelling: THERE IS A VERY GOOD CHANCE THAT THIS BUILD WILL BREAK SOME ROMS THAT WORKED BEFORE! THIS IS A CONSEQUENCE OF AN AGGRESSIVE STRATEGY TO RECLAIM A LITTLE MORE RAM. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE REPORT ANY ROMS THAT HANG/CRASH!! Just had to make sure that everybody gets at least that part, if you guys don't report the bugs, I don't find them and can't fix them for you :) * Added a START menu to the Launcher. Many actions that were previously accomplished via shortcuts are now performed by pressing "START" and selecting an item in the menu. * Integrated new graphics from r4dius and cleaned up the layout of the help/options screen. * Fixed a problem where BIOS games were hidden when "clones" were filtered out * Added several ROM filter/sorting options, these may be changed via the Options menu. Filtering is toggled with the BLACK button. * Put in support for rom colorization/filtering on ROMSTATUS.XML (This file will become available to the general public when the new site goes live). See the addendum below for info on the format of this file for the adventurous testers out there :) * Fixed the problem where moving a ROM to the backup directory would not remove it from the ROM list cache file. * Changed the functions in the MAME core that ask for memory to use a wrapper function where we can properly catch out of memory conditions. This makes the system far more stable, and as a bonus, we can print out a sensible error message (Out of memory) instead of asking you guys to learn the 20 different messages that really just mean "Out of Memory" * Added VSYNC option * Added frame throttling option * Increased autoframeskip reliability * Removed history.dat support (we might add support in the Launcher in the future, but in-game history is probably out of the question, sorry for getting everybody's hopes up w/ the last release).

Pcsxbox V4
>> From Xport on forums.xbox-scene.com:
This is a completely new UI which I plan on incorporating into most of my other releases. I tried to include as much customization and as many features as possible, but I'm sure there will still be changes and additions that people will want to see. Please provide feedback on the xbox-scene.com emulation forums so that this UI can be refined and then placed into the other ports.
What's New : * Customizable skins -Backgrounds -Sounds -Background Music -Sprites -Text position (right/left/center, top/bottom/center) -Text color, select bar color -Font -Fading speed -Screenshot position -If you want to change the way something looks in this new UI, chances are that you can change it via the Configuration menu. * Default Castlevania:SOTN skin gives example of what you can do. * Netplay (2 players) * Samba/NetBIOS support (read CD images from your PC) * Every single in-game command is fully customizable on any of the four joypad controllers. * Map any emulator or UI command to a single button or a combination of two buttons. (e.g. RTrigger+LTrigger = Save State) * Autofire capabilities for any emulator button on any controller * One-button combos (define a series of emulator commands to be played back when you press a user-definable XBox controller combination.) (E.g. Press RTrigger+LTrigger to run the series of commands that will cast Soul Steal in Castlevania) * Traverse any directory on any drive ( Continue selecting the parent directory entry on the file selection list to get the drive selection list. Selectable drives are C, D, E, F, R, X, Y, Z, and SMB. R is the CDROM drive. SMB is the samba share you have defined in your pcsx.ini file.) * 10 save state slots * Take in-game screenshots which can later be browsed and can also be viewed on the game-selection list. * All UI commands (save state, load state, screenshot, etc) can be invoked from the Options/Pause menu as well as in-game via your customized joypad mappings. * New graphics filters : -2xSai -Super 2xSai -Eagle -Super Eagle -SuperScale -AdvanceMame 2x -Simple 2x * Can be invoked from a command-line to directly run a game from a front-end or dashboard and bypass the user-selection screens. (Only if the frontend or dashboard supports this feature.) * Can return to the launching program *if* the launching program supports this feature. For example, if the custom-launch routines are incorporated into a new frontend, that frontend could launch PCSXBox and when you exit PCSXBox, that frontend can be automatically reloaded. * Support for M3U playlists of MP3 files. (Currently only supports MP3 files) (Can also read MP3/M3U from across Samba shares.) * Favorites list * Save Game management - delete save game files * CD-Changing should hopefully be fixed * Schmoke and a pancake
What's Not New: * Compatibility - this version does not fix or break any games from v2/v3.
Cxbx 0.7.6
>> From Caustik:
Looks like the scene is seeing a ton of action lately! I've decided to release another version so people can submit compatibility information to me (Games/Homebrew apps that start to display graphics, etc). The internals have changed very significantly in this version, so some apps (especially homebrew emulators) are starting to run. PointSprites now runs correctly, and is a very impressive demo. "Add new functionality to your PS 2." Watch today at 7 p.m. and tomorrow at 8 a.m., 12 p.m. Eastern. "Ever since I did Xbox mods a few months ago, people have been sending requests for PlayStation 2 mods. If you're one of those people (and even if you're not), you'd better tune in to the show on Monday, 'cause you're finally gonna get what you want. "
"I'll talk about the most popular mod performed to a PS2: BIOS replacement. This involves installing a mod chip. Mod chips come in various shapes, sizes, and wire configurations, but the chips work in similar ways. "

Why did MS ignore Free-X (point of view).
>> Part of article from wininformant.com:
But I suspect there are larger issues at work here. If Microsoft had supported Free-X, the company would be seen as supporting Linux, and it is clearly a top priority at Microsoft these days that it not be seen doing that. Furthermore, Linux on Xbox would dilute the Xbox market, which is already struggling against the market leading Sony PlayStation 2. Currently, Microsoft can claim that Xbox owners purchase a certain number of software titles per console, giving third party developers a good idea of the potential market. If people started buying the Xbox as a low-cost PC, fewer would buy games at all, and that ratio would drop. In other words, the Xbox would become a losing proposition for developers, the kiss of death for any platform.
Since releasing details of their hack, the Free-X community has seen the situation with Microsoft deteriorate, and the software giant is now threatening legal action. This is probably the only course of action open to the company, and one it must take to protect those companies that have chosen to back its Xbox. Still, it seems like it didn't have to be this way. Is this an example of corporate karma getting in the way of a good decision?
Bert is cheating on Ernie - The Pheonix Project
>> Another release from the guys at 'The Pheonix Project':
Package includes: * Signed EvoX V1.8.3752 Dashboard * Bert.xtf (to be renamed to Xbox Book.xtf and replace existing file on HDD). * Snuffleupagus.xtf (to be renamed to Xbox.xtf and replace existing file on HDD). * The Pheonix Project EvoX skin.
Features ========== By using our modifed Free-X exploit you can now run any unsigned code on your Xbox with the following runtime bios patches: * F: Upgrade (means large HDD can now be used by Enigmah & Xecuter modchip owners too). * Media Flag checks. * EjectFix.
Compatibility Issues ====================== Only works with a 4034 retail bios.
Future Releases ================= Customizable Bios profiles to work like a software only multibios modchip! Shitloads more when we catch up on sleep!
Note: It looks like 'The Pheonix Project' is patching the kernel in memory directly in the .xtf files. The Complex !Loader is patching the kernel in their .xbe file. So it looks like 2 different ways to do this. And keep in mind both the !Loader patching as this 'The Pheonix Project' patching only works on xboxes with kernel 4034retail. But I'm sure more support will come real soon :-)

Another reply from Numbnut
>> Numbnut replies to the reply from his first news on maxconsole:
I have two sets of responses to this latest effort. The first is by far the most important:
Where is the response to what I pointed out about Franz trying to sell the hacks to Microsoft for his personal benefit, described in his own words in his 'statement'? Presumably your group approved of this, is this the 'new era of Xbox hacking' you have in mind, working for Microsoft? Everything else is a side-issue, yet instead of grappling with this, the anonymous poster creates some wonderful 'rumours' about me. I guess that's more fun than trying to deny what was written by your own hand. So come on, Anonymous Cowards, give it your best shot, I await your explanation. Or are you finding it difficult to defend the indefensible?
Secondly, all of your rumours are false, as you would well know since you made them up for the occasion. Unlike your 'rumours', intended to muddy the waters, the stone cold facts stay as I wrote before. My receipts from my modchip work, selling my Filtror, just cover the costs of building the designs which are GPL'd on my website. None of the 'real' modchip folks need me to design their stuff (at least, not since Cheapmod :-) ), and I have never worked for any of them. Plenty of wannabe modchip people approached me, but I turned them all down, including an Australian wannabe whose boastful tone I am strongly reminded of by this latest Anonymous Coward. Before I left Xbox Linux, other people had the opportunity to see for themselves that Franz's imagination encompassed more than his hands could, if you look back in the Xbox Linux mailing list archives you will note Oliver Schwartz, the member responsible for all the linux-side video and for completing xbv, concluded the same as I did that Franz was pouring useless edits into the Cromwell CVS and making bogus claims for them.
As for "revealing Franz", look at the Slashdot thread: the first person to name Franz was Franz himself posting as an Anonymous Coward. And the pathetic attempt of this latest Anonymous Coward to pretend that he isn't part of Free-X at the end is a laugh. Put Franz back on, he did a better job than the latest Coward.
There's no doubt that the Dashboard hack (not found by either Anonymous Coward, I'll bet you $10) is a great find and is an earthquake. But no less a bombshell to me and anyone who worked with Xbox Linux on the reverse engineering, is the news that Franz was on the phone to Microsoft trying to get a job by selling them our hard-created hacks. These are the hacks - which Franz had no part in creating - which allowed the v1.1 reversing so fast, and which we fully expect to be available in all future v1.x boxes. Loss of these attack points will cost everyone who wants to run their own code on future Xbox revisions, since the Dashboard will be patched for later Xboxes. So I repeat, in case anybody missed it the first time, if you consider to work with these Anonymous Cowards, look carefully at Franz's detailed explanation in his own words how he tried to cash out on his former colleagues and their work. If he had any honour he would apologize to the people involved, but then if he had any honour, he would never have considered such an action.
More XDeck news
>> From xdeck.net:
As many of you already know, a team of elite hackers found a powerful exploit in Microsoft’s dashboard. This exploit now allows an XBox to run (nearly) as though a mod chip has been installed.
What dose this mean for XDeck? A little but for the most part nothing has changed. The need for a hard drive switch is still very much a reality, but the need for BIOs control has been diminished. Because of this, the XDeck will also be developed without these controls in a "Free-XDeck" version. This will cut cost for this XDeck model and will allow more modders to afford the unit. Do to the added simplicity; this model will be released first.
Final concept images will be released by July 21 (yes, this year).
Reply from 'Anonymous' to Numbnut's news
>> From maxconsole.com:
A Maxconsole reader has submitted this a commentary on Andy Green's recent statement.
Following the article posted regarding Andy Green's comments to the identity of Free-X please consider the following: - Andy Green left the XBox-Linux Project following Franz making some very substantial bug fixes to the Cromwell bios which Andy was instrumental in developing. Andy saw Cromwell as his "baby" and could not handle the fact that someone else was a major contributor. When Franz was still a member of the XBox Linux Project he helped fix some of the on-going problems with the Cromwell bios such as its lock-ups and heat problems. - It is rumoured that Andy left the XBox-Linux Project because he was using the Cromwell bios as material for his resume for his own commercial interests and with Franz becoming a major contributor Andy was no longer able to achieve this goal. - Andy has received a rumoured $50000USD from Xecuter so that Xecuter could continue their domination of the XBox modchip market by stopping the development of Andy's CPLD code (used to make multibios modchips) which was to be released to the public. Guess what Andy said in his recent statment "And you can't trust someone who will drop a dime on you the moment they think they can turn a buck." - It is also rumoured that Andy is working on the Xecuter 3 project which is now threatened by the Free-X exploits!
Why on earth did Andy Green feel the need to make a post on Slashdot threatening to name Franz as Free-X? Seems like he could be jealous that someone else is stealing the limelight that Andy once enjoyed. Who is "throwing mud" Andy, not Franz but you. Wonder if Andy wishes he has the same type of successes when he was still playing with the XBox? Sources close to Maxconsole (some of whom have provided us with breaking news on the Free-X saga) can confirm that Franz's details have been given to Microsoft directly by Franz himself as part of the attempt to contact MS regarding the Free-X exploits, Free-X asked Franz to act on their behalf to seek contact with Microsoft. So Andy's threat was baseless anyway! Free-X is not just one man. Andy Green has made a fabulous contribution to the XBox scene and should be respected for his work. It is a shame that he now resorts to such personal attacks to keep his "spot". The days of two big modchip makers making millions (they will deny it but it is true) is over, they have suppressed those small guys from getting anywhere with their manipulation of the scene and its major news resources for too long (ask any smaller modchip manufacturer if they have sent products for reviews on "the" news site and whether it ever got reviewed). The truth will now been known, there is an uprising occuring in the XBox scene underworld where making $ is no longer what drives the scene instead innovation and making a better community is the driving force. To all those respected and important people in the XBox underworld this article here will ring a lot of truth, your concerns about this scene are felt by many! The scene has spiced up in the last few days because of the Free-X exploits but it is about to get VERY INTERESTING! Thank you Free-X for freeing us from the shackles of Xecuter & Xodus, may many others follow in your pioneering footsteps!
Let any truely unbiased XBox news site publish this article unedited.
