Super Mario Wars v1.8.04 Final R2
>> Cancerous1 released a 2nd port of the 'Super Mario Wars' v1.8.04 Final homebrew game to JTAG/Homebrew 360s. Super Mario War is a fan-made multiplayer Super Mario Bros. style deathmatch game in which players try to beat one another in a variety of gameplay modes. You can play on teams, design your own levels, design your own worlds, and much more!
In this build, the random crashing/rebooting has been fixed as well as some other improvements to a few of the sfx, one of the announcers has been fixed as well as one of the maps that had a filename that was too long. Other improvements to the SDL library also bring better pefermace and more stability to this build. Multiple controllers isn't working yet so you'll still have to take turns, or fight the bots.
Fixes in this build are thanks to Lantus, cOz, stk50, and myself. Thanks to the 72 DPI army for a great game.
NPD: 360 enjoys best ever month in US News
>> From eurogamer.net:
The Xbox 360 enjoyed its best ever US sales month in December, according to sales data released by The NPD Group.
Although the DS was the highest selling system of the month, the 360 recorded its best ever figures, shifting 1.9 million units, and was the only console to see a year-on-year sales increase. Impressive figures, considering it ran out of stock before the end of the month.
NPD didn't release information on how the other platforms fared but confirmed that across the board, hardware sales were down six per cent on 2009.
Microsoft: Supply Constraints Hit Xbox 360 In December
>> From gamasutra.com:
Xbox Live program manager Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb said on Twitter that Microsoft "ran out of consoles" at the end of December, and that as a result those on the Xbox team "don't expect to win [December]."
Nelson warned that Xbox 360 hardware supply for January and February would be "tight as well," but that December's NPD results should bring "likely amazing [year-over-year] growth numbers for Xbox."
GliGli Ads HDMI Support to libXenon
>> GliGli keeps improving libXenon, a library for writing programs for the Xbox 360 with XeLL, without using any existing code as a basis. This time he comes with support for HDMI output. He also has plans to develop a new XeLL so libXenon can natively support HDMI and several resolution (1440*896, 1280x720 and 1280*1024). The video below shows a demo coded with the new libXenon running on a 360 via HDMI. You can't see the XeLLous txt while booting because XeLL(ous) has no output on HDMI atm.

>> From team-xecuter.com(1)/team-xecuter.com(2)/team-xecuter.com(3):
Just to give you guys a heads up, at this stage we are looking at a maximum RRP of $59.95 / £39.95 / 44.95 We hope to be shipping the first samples to exclusive testers and review sites at the end of next week, then full retail shipping will commence soon after that.
X360USB PRO has been successfully integrated into Jungle Flasher. Here is a sneak peak of screenshots with a bunch of different drive versions.
Liteon Slim 0225 - Successful Key Dump.
Our goal was the make this the easiest possible way to connect your 360 DVD drive to your PC with full access to all features with No gimmicks. No fuss. Just plug it in and go. That's it, end of story.

* We are also testing the new Slim LT Firmware with the X360USB. Can anyone else claim that? Slim 9504 Read: Done (No Probe / No Cutting / No Soldering Required - Confirmed) Slim 9504 Write: Done (No Probe / No Cutting / No Soldering Required - Confirmed) Slim 0225 Read: Done (No Probe / No Cutting / No Soldering Required - Confirmed) Slim 0225 Write: In Progress Slim 0500 Read: In Progress Slim 0500 Write: In progress
* 0800 Game Ripping: Tested 100% with Samsung, Benq & Liteon. It's pretty fast too
Tested on various desktops and laptops. No drivers required. No SATA required. All Windows Versions (That JF Supports anyway)
This chart should help clarify all your connection options and comparisons against SATA. Note that you have MANY options to power your drive. We understand that most users already have a CK3 Pro or a Blaster CK3 so we do not include this option with the X360USB Pro - why pay more if you already have paid for it in the past ? We will of course include CK3 Power options built into the X360USB on a separate version for new customers.
