MS PR Blog Confirms: No Ban for Playing Halo3 Early
>> It was already confirmed via MS spokepersons on 3rd party site, but now it's also been confirmed by the Microsoft PR Gaming Blog site:
Hopefully I can put these Halo 3 ban rumors to rest...

If you obtain a copy of Halo 3 prior to its street date of Sept 25th, you will NOT be banned from Xbox Live for playing Halo 3 early (not even my fellow softies).
Of course they are talking about original Halo3 discs here. As Halo3 is out there in the wild as well now, playing it off a DVD+-DL is against their EULA (and illegal if you don't own the original) and might get you banned if they can and want to detect it.
