Another Disassembled Xbox 360
>> We already reporter earlier that Anandtech.com disassembled and analyzed the retail Xbox 360 console.
Steblublu of our forums also opened the Xbox 360 he won with the Canadian 'BeTheFirstToPlay' contest and posted some info and pictures on his blog.
He opened the Xbox 360 console itself, but also the harddrive addon and wireless controller.
He also confirms the SATA DVD-ROM and 2.5" SATA notebook HD drive as in Anandtech's article.

He also found a Hynix TSOP flash chip on the motherboard. The HYNIX HY27US08281A series is a 16Mx8bit with spare 4M bit capacity. What's on this TSOP is unknown, but the Xbox 360 dashboard/interface could be on it (unlike the current Xbox it can't be stored on the HD because the 'Core system' doesn't have one).
The boot rom is probably close-to/on the CPU now.
