Halo 3 Could Ship in September

In an interview with 1up, Shane Kim has revealed that Microsoft won't ship any first-party title in October, as that is the release month for Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto IV. That forces the software giant to release Project Gotham Racing 4 and Halo 3 in either September or November. Lost Odyssey has already been scheduled for release in December.
At first, it'd make sense to have PGR 4 launching in September and then Halo 3 coming out in its traditional November date. But as the general manager of Microsoft Game Studios points out, having Halo 3 coming in September could be an option.
"We don't tell Bungie when they have to ship Halo 3." Kim told 1up. "If they can get out before GTA4, they probably feel like that's better, sort of like Xbox 360 coming out before PlayStation 3."
