EU/UK Xbox 360 Pricedrop Coming August 24th?
>> An x-scene reader sent us a flyer from french retailer Carrefour indicating an Xbox360 pricedrop for Europe on August 24th. The ad shows the Xbox 360 Premium for 349eur (current official price is 399eur) and the core for 279eur (current official price is 299eur). You'll notice the retailer will even take an additional 25eur off the premium price with their 'fidelity program', probably to help clear their stock of non-HDMI Premium consoles.
The Xbox360 Elite is launching in Europe on that very same date ... while MS didn't announce an official price yet and retailers have been taking pre-orders for 500eur/330gbp, it's likely the official Elite price will also 'number-match' the new USD price ... meaning 450eur.
About UK (GBP) pricing ... the guys over at disposablemedia.blogspot.com got this info from their 'Microsoft insider' (who also confirms the August 24 date):

* Premium 249.99 GBP
* Elite 299.99 GBP
