Microsoft PR: 360 Price Drop Official: Pro 350, Core 280, Elite 450, Halo3LE 400
>> Well, it was not really a secret anymore ... but it's now really official ... Microsoft drops the price of the Xbox360 in USA. Our sources reported the pricedrop for August 8th as first and the rumor was quickly 'confirmed' by sources at hollywoodreporter and GameDaily BIZ and also flyers of wal-mart, toys r us and circuit city.

For now it seems to be US only (so not for Canada that usually follows US price), on major nelson's site I found this bit of info:
