Want a Pro SKU With HDMI? Look for the HDMI Logo on the Box

As (some of) the new 'Pro' stock coming in retail stores now seems to have the HDMI port already people were wondering how they could know for sure it had this port without opening the box ... well engadget points out it's very easy:

Note: At the moment it's still unknown if this 'new' Pro also has the new 'Falcon' motherboard with 65nm cpu/gpu. If those new chips and motherboards were not ready yet, Microsoft could easily have built Pro-HDMI SKUs with the motherboard used in the Elite. About the DVD-drive ... afaik and unless there are really specific changes, the DVD-drive is independent of motherboard or chip changes.
