Instead of totally removing these scripts, they have been dumped into Resctoox(info) and tweaked to work properly. The scripts have been removed permenantly from magic and I'm finishing up the testing of Resctoox v1.3.
Everything seems to be going great. Resctoox v1.3 will feature BusyBox v1.0 (with WORKING large file support) along with nearly ALL the available BusyBox options compiled in (stuff like the httpd weren't worth having)!. Once Resctoox has booted, it will just be a case of running either "f-drive" or "e-drive" to move Gentoox about and there will be no risks involved of the rootfs becoming corrupted during transferral.
Keep an eye out for a release some time later today.
*UPDATED* Okay, it's released. As always, read the manual and be careful! Also, let me know of any bugs (there may be some - its 5:25am!).
