Gentoox on xbox v1.6 update *updated* v1.6 howto

Gentoox Pro(info) is running on the v1.6 with video output! Thanks to Gimli for adding preliminary support into the kernel tree! I might post a video or something later. For now, I need sleep!

*Update*
After some probing, I can confirm that temperature sensing is gone (this isn't breaking news as SmartXX have already discovered this) at least from its normal position. This means fanctl will not work on a v1.6 Xbox. The other interesting discovery is that on previous Xbox revisions, reading address 0x18 from the PIC would cause the Xbox to shutdown in "Overheat" mode. Reading this address does no such thing on the v1.6, so either Microsoft are now allowing Xboxes to overheat, or they have completely reworked the temperature sensing/ alarm tripping mechanism. I'm not sure if anyone else has made this discovery since I haven't really been reading into v1.6 hacking, so I thought I'd post it here.

*Update 2*
I have definitely heard the fan change speed whilst compiling, so it has to be controlled by some other means! Also, ALSA 1.0.4 doesn't seem to work anymore! I've also tried ALSA 0.9.2 with the more agressive xbox-linux CVS patches. The following errors can be observed in syslog whilst trying to load the snd-intel8x0 module.
The current Cromwell(info) also doesnt apppear to have any Video output and it caused a kernel panic when booting from it, however the Gentoox Loader(info) v4.0 xbe works fine (with garbled display, though).

Ok, so following the news release yesterday about me getting Gentoox working on a v1.6, quite a few (ok, thats an understatement) people have asked me to release a HOWTO. I'll go one better and release an ISO to patch a Gentoox installation for you (I've only tested this on Pro). It's an absolutely horrible hack and I wont defend it at all but it does provide a working Linux environment. Note, dont use magic, it will break Gentoox (although if you INSIST on using magic, just run this ISO again and it should fix it).
There is no xpad support, no sound support and it only works on installations to E:, NOT F or NATIVE! There is no video support in the bootloader.
You can get it here (if you're really that desperate). No support is provided, if you cant get it working... tough, works-for-me(tm)! READ THE README!
