I was just emailed by a user with an enigmah mod who told me he loaded a BIOS he had previously modded with XBtool and, despite the fact that it said unknown BIOS, he patched it and flashed. This is exactly the reason for the warnings. NEVER patch an unknown BIOS, and don't use XBtool if YOU CAN'T RECOVER FROM A BAD FLASH (that means you, enigmah users). Keep an unmolested 4974 and always patch that, if you want to make a change.
